Air Force badge regulation mirror finish Senior Astronaut – individually priced.
Astronaut wings have the astronaut symbol (shooting star symbol) superimposed over the particular specialty wing such as Pilot, Navigator, Flight Surgeon, etc. They are awarded to USAF rated officers who are qualified to perform duties in their respective rating in space (50 miles or more above the earth) and have completed a minimum of one operational space mission.
Senior and Command pilot badge requirements are the same for the other Senior and Chief astronaut badges.
